Badger Creek One and Three-day Programs: Schedule

 

The following schedules outline the events of both the one-day and three-day Badger Creek Program. Groups may choose which workshops to participate in depending on the program chosen. See the "Workshops" page for more information.

 

One-Day Program

  • 7:15 a.m.  Arrive at the BYU-Idaho Outdoor Learning Center (Badger Creek). Please arrive when scheduled so there will be time for the staff to get acquainted with the participants. The "Assumption of Risk" forms will be collected from those in attendance.
  • 8-10 a.m.  Workshops
  • 10-12 noon  Workshops
  • 12 noon  Lunch provided by BYU-Idaho.
  • 1-3 p.m.  Workshops
  • 3-5 p.m.  Workshops
  • 6 p.m.  Approximate departure time.

 

Note: Dinner arrangements can be made for an additional cost.

 

Three-Day Program

Day One

  • 10 a.m.  Arrive at the BYU-Idaho Outdoor Learning Center (Badger Creek). Please arrive when scheduled so there will be time for the staff to get acquainted with the participants. The "Assumption of Risk" forms will be collected from those in attendance.
  • 11 a.m.  Move to campsites. You will be separated into six equal groups.
  • 12 noon  Lunch prepared by BYU-Idaho.
  • 1-3 p.m.  Workshops
  • 3-5 p.m.  Workshops
  • 6 p.m.  Dinner prepared by BYU-Idaho
  • 7 p.m.  Open Time
  • 8 p.m.  Campfire program presented by BYU-Idaho Staff.
  • 9 p.m.  Night Walk. A guided walk at night with activities to help the participants gain a better awareness of the night environment and themselves.

 10 p.m.  Lights out.

 

Day Two

  • 6 a.m.  Arise and prepare for breakfast.
  • 7 a.m.  Breakfast prepared by BYU-Idaho.
  • 8-10 a.m.  Workshops
  • 10-12 noon  Workshops
  • 12 noon  Lunch prepared by BYU-Idaho.
  • 1-3 p.m.  Workshops
  • 3-5 p.m.  Workshops
  • 6 p.m.  Dinner prepared by BYU-Idaho.
  • 7 p.m.  Open Time
  • 8 p.m.  Campfire program presented by the participants. Come prepared with skits, songs, etc.
  • 9 p.m.  Fireside speaker (usually someone from the ward or stake leadership) followed by quiet games and activities.
  • 10 p.m.  Lights out.

 

Day Three

  • 6 a.m.  Arise and prepare for breakfast.
  • 7 a.m.  Breakfast prepared by BYU-Idaho.
  • 8-10 a.m.  Solo experience. Participants will be on their own to write in their journals, read scriptures, pray, meditate, and do other personal activities of an uplifting nature.
  • 10-12 noon  Testimony meeting conducted by ward/stake leaders.
  • 12 noon  Break camp, clean up area, and board buses. A sack lunch will be provided.
