What Are Badger Creek One And Three-Day Programs?

Badger Creek One and Three-day Programs, located at the BYU-Idaho Outdoor Learning Center, are outdoor youth programs designed to teach leadership and engage students in intense activities including ropes courses and other outdoor adventures. Groups can choose from a number of workshops to enhance their character-building experience.

 

The program includes the "Team Building" Workshop. Other options shown below are dependent on the program chosen:

 

  • Black Powder Rifles
  • Canoeing
  • Climbing Tower/ZIP Line
  • Giant Swing
  • Horseback Riding
  • Inclined/Horizontal Log
  • Power Pole

 

When Can Groups Participate in Badger Creek One And Three-Day Programs?

Badger Creek Programs are available as either one-day or three-day programs. Limited openings become available June through July. Scheduling is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Participation Information

Badger Creek One and Three-day Programs are designed primarily for LDS youth groups. Participation is limited to such groups as Youth Conferences, Young Women Camps, Scouting activities, etc. Groups are limited to 90 participants. The group size will vary depending on youth programs scheduled at the time of the event. 

 

Cost Information

The cost to participate in the Badger Creek One and Three-day Programs is dependent on the program options chosen by the participating group. The 2009 prices are shown below:

 

  • $37 per person for one day including lunch
  • $46 per person for one day including lunch and dinner
  • $112 per person for three days including the following:

Day one - lunch and dinner

Day two - breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day three - breakfast and a sack lunch provided only

Note:  All workshop prices are included in the price shown above excluding the "horses" workshop.  An additional $10 per person will be added to the amount when choosing to ride horses as a workshop option.

 

Because the food is ordered and confirmed in advance for the amount of people in the group, these are set prices regardless of anyone in the group arriving late or leaving early.

 

Registration Information

Those interested in registering for summer 2009 may complete a Badger Creek Summer Scheduling Request Form.  This form is now available online for Registration. Openings are limited and will only be available temporarily until the program dates are full.  Please register by printing the form and submitting it to:
