Automotive majors repair cars and pick-ups for students, faculty and community members. The stipulations for repair at our facility are:
- The vehicle needs to be at least 1990 or newer for most classes. For engine performance / Check enigne light issues the vehicle must be 1997 or newer.
- The requested repair needs to relate to an automotive class for the current semester.
- We do not handle ALL car repair problems.
- If you are in a hurry for a particular repair to be done, you should probably contact a local repair shop instead. We will need your car for several days.
- An authorization of at least $50 toward repairs is required for all request. A deposit of $500 is required for engine and transmission repairs.
DISCLAIMER - Repairs made will be done as an instructional project by BYU Idaho automotive students. The university and it's employees and agents will not be liable for loss or damage to the vehicle. You agree that the vehicle will not be released until fees are paid. A mechanics lien may be assigned to the vehicle to recover those fees. Students may operate the vehicle for purposes of testing and diagnosis at your risk.
