"The challenge before us is to create even more powerful and effective learning experiences in which students learn by faith... Students need opportunities to take action... Some of [those opportunities] will come in the classroom, where prepared students, exercising faith, step out beyond the light they already possess, to speak, to contribute, and to teach one another. It is precisely in that moment that the Spirit teaches."
Kim B. Clark, Inaugural Response, October 11, 2005
About Us

History of CCA
CCA was officially started in September 2004, which was founded by our first president Emily Pun and her vice president Kristen Tsui. Our first semester was a great success. We had a lot of members, and many people came to support our activities. We aimed to have an activity once every 2 weeks and we did! It was a great start for us!
We have also performed at the International Food and Dance Festival for many times, which has helped us to become more well known on campus in order to let students who are interested in our culture to join and grow with us. Just like President Clark supports the new learning model - students teaching students. As we are teaching our culture to others, we are also learning different cultures from others.
Our Mission Statement:
The Chinese Culture Association of Brigham Young University-Idaho is (a) to provide an environment for students to be immersed in Chinese culture, (b) to raise awareness of cultural diversities and (c) to uplift each other by building up the testimonies of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
