What is an Internship Hub?

Hubs are a center of strength that will receive enhanced University resources to assist students. They are in place to help students find an internship, ideally leading to full time employment.

 

Hub Characteristics and Requirements:

 
  • 1. Alumni presence
  • 2. Annual visit from faculty / internship personnel
  • 3. Annual visit from Student Internship Expedition
  • 4. Available housing: appropriate and affordable
  • 5. Available public transportation: positive, although not required
  • 6. BYU Management Society presence
  • 7. BYU-Idaho President's Inaugural Dinner and Designation

  • 8. Data showing positive economic growth and a diverse business environment
  • 9. Enhanced student assistance
  • 10. LDS contacts in position of influence
  • 11. LDS Institute within a 20-mile radius
  • 12. Non-LDS business contacts
  • 13. YSA LDS ward or branch within a 20-mile radius
  • 14. LDS Temple
