 Agricultural Rendezvous

Each year the BYU-I team hosts an agriculture competition on campusfor high schools. The rendezvous is modeled to prepare students for the FFA state and national competitions. All Idaho high schools from the area as well as some Utah, Wyoming, and Montana high schools are invited to attend. The competition consisted of mechanics, welding, crops, soils, parliamentary procedure, job interview, prepared and extemp. speeches, livestock/ horse judging, etc.. The studentsare able to compete in many different areas, and BYU-I students and faculty judged each competition area.

BYU-I holds this competition to help high school students understand the importance of agriculture. This helps people see there is a business and a future in agriculture for students who love all that it has to offer.

Ag Rendezvous is held during Brigham Young University Idaho's Winter Semester, for more information contact Sister Zollinger at (208)496-2824.
