Track System
A year-round, three-semester track system allows BYU-Idaho to serve nearly 20,000 students, significantly more than the 13,000 students our facilities will accommodate during a traditional academic year. With two thirds of our enrolled students on campus in any given semester, and the other one third in their off-track semester, the Track System allows BYU-Idaho to bless thousands more lives and more efficiently uses tithing dollars and church resources.

This creative academic schedule revolves around a three-semester calendar. When students are admitted, they are assigned to one of three tracks, based on university needs and student body compostion. Students may not register for classes during their off-track semester. Track assignments are permanent.
