Home School & Private Schools

Home school, private school, and charter school diplomas are only accepted from schools accredited with the following institutions.

• Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Higher Education
• New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Higher Education
• North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Higher Education
• Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (High Schools)
• Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges
• Western Association of Schools and College Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities

If your school or program is not accredited with one of these groups, a GED of 26 or higher on the ACT or above 1460 on the SAT will be required.

GED Scoring Requirements

• Composite score minimum: 500
• No sub-scores below 450

The GED is not required if the following scores are met:

• ACT score > 26
• SAT score > 1170
