Requirements
TOEFL: All internatinal students whose native language is not English must take this exam.
TOEFL Scores must be:
- At least a 550 on the paper-based exam (no sub-score below 55)
- At least 66 on the internet-based exam (no sub-score below 17, 17, 16, or 16, respectively)
- At least 173 on the computer-based exam (no sub-scores below 17).
BYU-Idaho does not have an ESL (English as a Second Language) program. If TOEFL requirements are not met, students are encouraged to increase their skills and retest. To learn more about the TOEFL exam, please visit www.ets.org.

Students with less than 30 semester or 45 quarter hours completed after high school graduation.

Students with at least 30 semester or 45 quarter hours completed after high school graduation. Credits must be complete by the application deadline after high school graduation.

Former full-time Ricks College or BYU-Idaho students who have no additional credit from another school or Institute program since last attending Ricks or BYU-I.
