Cluster Samples

Explanation:  A cluster is a grouping of courses selected by a student in consultation with an adviser to develop a set of skills tailored to the unique needs of the student.  The cluster must consist of courses from no more than two disciplines, and total 12 to 15 credits.  Normally some upper division courses would be included to ensure that adequate depth of knowledge is achieved in the area chosen.

Since there might be some question about which courses would constitute a viable cluster, the following list of sample clusters has been submitted by the various departments.  It should be remembered that the clusters listed below are suggestions, not requirements.  The student can choose a cluster from the list, but is still free to design one that best fits his or her needs.
