"The Activities Program is leadership training of the broadest and most exciting kind."

Anxiously Engaged in a Good Cause: The Student Activities Program
You would have to search to find a Brigham Young University-Idaho student just sitting on the sidelines. Students are strongly encouraged to be participants, not spectators. This principle guides another key component of the BYU-Idaho education: the Student Activities Program.
Introduced as part of the transition from Ricks College, the BYU-Idaho Student Activities Program provides students numerous opportunities to be involved, develop leadership and mentoring abilities, and serve others. An array of year-round activities is offered in six core areas:
- Outdoor
- Service
- Talent
- Fitness
- Sports
- Social
Each area is structured to allow for involvement at various levels of skill, interest, and commitment. So whether it's hiking and biking, playing sports and performing music, or organizing a service project, BYU-Idaho students are busily engaged in activities that enhance the university experience for themselves and others.
